Moon Love Mama was born on March of 2018 and here is the story of how it began.
After a busy Saturday morning in March, Emma, my oldest daughter, and I stopped to grab a snack. As we sat enjoying our treats, I revealed to her I wanted to launch a blog where I would talk about my life as a mom, wife, daughter and my different roles as a woman. Why? She asked. I explained I was a writer and it felt it was the right time to begin again.
I gave Emma a list of names I had come up with for the new blog and then I saw her eyes spark up. All of the sudden she was excited. She wanted to help me find the perfect name.
When we got home, Emma sat down and began writing on a tiny notebook. Minutes later she showed me a list of names she liked for my blog. Enthusiastically, she read one by one. I promised to go over them and see which one would fit best.
That same night, I looked at the list again and realized my little one had some great suggestions. From all the names, “moonslove” stood out. Right away I started researching the word “moon” and its connection to womanhood. After all I wanted a meaningful name.
I learned that in many cultures the moon is associated to goddesses and divine females. Overall she is depicted as strong, beautiful, knowledgeable, compassionate, powerful, a protector and healer. Moreover she symbolizes love, growth, light, sex, pleasure, purity, fertility, birth, nature, magic and marriage among many other things.
For me the Moon represents all the characteristics of a woman, a versatile and marvelous soul.
That night Moon Love Mama came to light and I embarked in an amazing adventure!
